Amanda Jain

Amanda Jain, MPH
Supervisor, Data Reporting and Analytics
About Me
Amanda double-majored in Mathematics and Sociology as an undergrad at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and later received her Master of Public Health at Brown University.
Amanda has been able to both practice and teach statistics throughout her career. This career path began when she worked as a Biostatistician and Protocol Manager on cancer imaging screening and treatment trials with the American College of Radiology Imaging Network. Most recently, Amanda served as Senior Epidemiologist for the State of Rhode Island Covid Quant Team during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. In between those roles, Amanda taught AP Statistics as a full-time high school mathematics teacher.
Amanda is very happy to have landed a role with the BSCU in 2024, where she works as a statistical consultant to Graduate Medical and Community Health clients, as well as a supervisor to other programmer analysts in the same role.
In her free time, Amanda can be found on the sidelines of her children’s soccer games or on the pool deck of their swim meets. She recently got back into running and is just starting to participate in local 5K races again. She also values quality time with her loved ones, cooking with her family, and discovering great restaurants, particularly those that serve sushi.
