Elijah Wade, MPH
Data Reporting and Analytics Consultant III, Biostatistics
About Me
Eli was born in Poteau, Oklahoma but grew up in Clearlake, California before moving to the Bay Area to attend the University of California, Berkeley. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from UC Berkeley.
Growing up in a community that ranked near the bottom of almost every health and income-related category in California opened Eli’s eyes to the way health disparities can drastically affect an individual’s quality of life. During college, he realized that one of the most important ways to address these issues is to start at the source and create upstream interventions. Clinical research allows him to use data and statistical methods to close gaps and improve outcomes in communities like the one he grew up in.
Going forward, Eli’s goal is to utilize data and statistical techniques to answer tough health-related questions and improve health outcomes, particularly in infectious diseases and STDs. In his free time, he enjoys movies, reading, running, watching Giants games, and hanging out with his dog, Stella.
