About Me

Tanran, who is originally from China, received her undergraduate degree in Social Security from Zhejiang University and her graduate degree in Public Administration from Nankai University. She moved to the U.S. to complete her MPH with a concentration in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Boston University School of Public Health.

Tanran’s interest in clinical research was initially sparked during her MPH program, where she encountered courses that provided a deep understanding of clinical research methodologies. Her professional experiences working with clinical data and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams further ignited this interest when she realized the profound impact that good research studies can have on shaping medical practices and patients’ behaviors – and ultimately improving patients’ health.

In the future, Tanran aspires to further advance her expertise in statistical methods and apply advanced analytical skills to clinical data. She also strives to become an expert in Kaiser Permanente data systems and engage in knowledge-sharing activities within the community and contribute to the growth of the team.

In her free time, Tanran enjoys reading, cooking, and visiting fun places with her family.
